Description: This course is a study of descriptive and inferential statistics. Students will learn how to describe current or past situations by displaying data using frequency distributions including tables and graphs; measures of central tendency including mean, median and mode; measures of dispersion including variance and standard deviation. Students will be introduced to the concept of probability and learn how to predict future outcomes using sampling, estimation, and hypothesis testing, correlation and regression analysis. Analysis will be utilized with the TI-83 calculator and MiniTab Computer program. |
