Lifeguarding 11, 12 B or better in PE 1 and certification in First Aid/CPR. As per the American Red Cross, students must be 15 years old by the end of the course. Students are required to participate in a prerequisite test on the second day of the course which consists of a 300 meter swim, 2 minutes of legs only treading water, and a 10 lb brick retrieval in deep water. A passing score on all 3 tests is required to remain in the course.
