Description:

Rock Band has the goals of using rock and popular music to develop music-making skills. Students will work closely with the instructor to select pieces at the start of each semester.They will analyze all aspects of musical work, such as instruments used, stylistic aspects of instrument performance, genre sub-type, historical influences, and aesthetic significance.

Students will work in sections (rhythm, guitars, keyboard, winds, and vocals) to create effective harmonies and to arrange the pieces for the ensemble's instrumentation appropriately. The group will perform a concert each semester.
