This course is designed to continue the individual and group musical skills that will pick up where the junior high school instrumental music training has concluded. Students will study classical and contemporary literature of varied time periods and styles available to the medium. Concerts are the culmination of the rehearsal and application of concepts covered in the classroom, and they are mandatory. The concert band participates in all school concerts, graduation, district band concert, and any special school events or performances. There will be a dress rehearsal prior to each concert or special event that the concert band will be participating in.
