Description: This course is recommended for the more advanced music student considering pursuit of a career or college major in music. Music Theory II covers advanced music terminology, notating, reading, and interpreting music composition and enhances performance skills through the demonstration of sight-singing, ear-training, and keyboard skills. Student must provide their own manuscript paper for the course. Topics covered in this course include, but are not limited to, harmonic analysis, chord progressions, modulation, score study, arranging, and melodic/rhythmic dictation. |
