Description:

In this semester course, students will work with the instructor on an individual basis and as a group to develop work in a fine arts area of particular interest to the student. Art careers will be discussed, , visitations from local art colleges and universities will be ongoing, and finished projects will be saved for a student portfolio. Art history will be studied. Studies in Art Studio III may include landscape drawing and painting, figure drawing, still life, portraiture, abstraction, illustration, collage, and sculpture. Materials used include pastel, charcoal, colored pencils, ballpoint pen, ink, collage, acrylic and watercolor paints, and mixed media.
