Description: Great Books: Coming-of-Age invites students to examine how childhood experiences shape one’s outlook as he/she moves towards adulthood. The course explores issues relative to the coming-of-age novel with respect to gender, cultural, and historical issues. Using the critical literary lens of bildungsroman, students will address how moral growth is essential to developing one’s identity and sense-of-self. |
