This course begins a four-year journey through the critical language arts experiences of reading, writing, investigating grammar and vocabulary, learning how to learn, speaking, and listening. Students will read and respond in writing to American literature. Formal speeches and discussions (both in class and online) will provide the opportunity to hone students’ oral communication skills.
