This team competes in an Academic League against local high schools.  In a quiz bowl format, students answer questions covering all academic subject matter.  The topics and questions are unknown to students ahead of time, but they are course related questions.  Practice begins after Thanksgiving on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 4pm.  Matches are held on Wednesdays in January and February.

Academic Decathlon is a 10-event academic competition for students of all ability levels. Students will compete in art, economics, literature, math, music, science, social science, essay, speech, and interview based on an annual theme. Students may have the opportunity to compete at the regional, state, and national levels. It is highly recommended, but not a requirement, that students that want to be involved in Acadec schedule the companion course Interdisciplinary Honors Seminar.

Link Crew trains mentors from the junior and senior classes to be Link Crew leaders. SAVE is a volunteer group of environmentally conscious students who work to bridge the gap between school and community by raising awareness of environmental issues that are both local and global. Rooted in the environment, and branching into the community, students are dedicated to community service and education.

Within SAVE, the Greenhouse Growers Group is dedicated to raising awareness and providing solutions to environmental problems related to agriculture, horticulture, and species conservation. We hold recycling days, plant sales and other community events.

Also a division of SAVE, the Aquaponics Club strives to introduce a unique way of growing quality produce through an aquaponics system in the greenhouse. The goal is to grow nutrient-rich food for the school and community to enjoy.

Activity Name: Unified Sports

Unified Sports is an inclusive activity where peers (with and without disabilities) come together to compete in PIAA/Special Olympics Pennsylvania sanctioned Bocce and Track competitions. Unified Bocce practices and competes during the winter sports season. Unified track practices and competes during the spring sports season. Team rosters are limited, but coaches try to find ways to include students interested in getting involved!
