Souderton Area High School offers a variety of vocal A Cappella Groups. Please see descriptions of each below:
crimson - the newest vocal ensemble at Souderton Area High School. crimson is an auditioned, mixed-voice, contemporary a cappella group that will focus on full staged performances along with festival and competition appearances. Students interested in being a part of crimson should know that there will be outside-of-school time commitments for rehearsals and performances. The students in this ensemble will need to show and work towards musical independence, there will be times where there are single singers on a part! We will experiment with full sound and lighting production as well as choreography/movement for each song. This ensemble will be a collaborative effort between director and students, students and students…a full team effort.
Soudertones - An a cappella group for tenor and bass voices. Students interested in Soudertones are accepted by audition.
Chordination - An a cappella group for alto and soprano voices. Students interested in Chordination are accepted by audition. |

SAVE is a volunteer group of environmentally conscious students who work to bridge the gap between school and community by raising awareness of environmental issues that are both local and global. Rooted in the environment, and branching into the community, students are dedicated to community service and education.
Within SAVE, the Greenhouse Growers Group is dedicated to raising awareness and providing solutions to environmental problems related to agriculture, horticulture, and species conservation. We hold recycling days, plant sales and other community events.
Also a division of SAVE, the Aquaponics Club strives to introduce a unique way of growing quality produce through an aquaponics system in the greenhouse. The goal is to grow nutrient-rich food for the school and community to enjoy. |
