Description:

This class provides students with a working knowledge of the technologies, concepts, and techniques of television production. As staff members of the weekly new program, Red Alert, students engage in hands-on lessons in the areas of camera operation, lighting, audio, graphics, switching, scriptwriting, thinking skills, and collaborate as team members in a deadline-driven environment. This is an excellent course for students interested in majoring in broadcast journalism, film, or communications at a post-secondary school. Because of the intense time that is required to professionally record and edit video, students will be required to spend additional time before and after school to complete their assignments.
