Description:
This course is designed to acquaint students to the field of manufacturing, assembly, machine processes, safety, and practical work experiences. Students will explore the areas of new product development, manufacturing and mass production and be responsible for the design, organization, and implementation of the annual “Winter Workshop.” This collaborative project/experience involves students from the high school working directly with all of the first graders in the SASD. Upon completion of this course, students will receive a safety certificate and be eligible to enroll in the level II woodworking class.
