Description: This course is designed to establish in students the body of knowledge and fluency of skills related to the study of American history during the period of 1865 to present day, with a specific focus on the following themes: American Identity, Struggle for Equality, American Expansion and Wealth, and Global Engagement. The course will focus on developing and broadening students’ critical thinking, literacy, and personal communication skills. This course is the completion of a 2 year study of American history begun in the 8th grade.
