Special Consideration Students will be visiting healthcare facilities, so they are required to pass a physical exam and have up-to-date vaccinations. A specific list of these health screening requirements will be provided upon acceptance into the course. Students will be required to purchase items for this program at an approximate cost of 150 dollars

Description:

Medical Applications is a course designed for students who have a strong interest in pursuing a medical or health career after high school. This course will replace NMTCC's Allied Health for Souderton students. The course will open with a review of biological concepts and medical ethics and legalities and include topics us as: vital signs and pain assessment, diseases and infection control, and caregiving skills. Students will learn career-related skills in the classroom, then practice the skills in various medical settings with professionals.
