Description: This course is appropriate for students that have an interest in forensic science, biology or chemistry. This course will cover a variety of forensic topics including drug analysis, instrumentation, fingerprinting, ballistics, DNA, microscopy, blood, and crime scene investigation. It will also provide an opportunity for students to research the forensic science used in a variety of case studies. Students will conclude the class by creating a crime scene and also analyzing other crime scenes to collect and interpret the forensic evidence and attempt to recreate the crime. This course is lab focused, and will also include interpretation of facts, and techniques from various media. |
