Description:

This hands-on, lab-based, course involves the study of rocks and minerals, geologic time, and tectonic processes and landforms. Students will learn about Earth's geologic history, how to identify and classify a variety of rock and mineral specimens and investigate the theory of plate tectonics and its link to the natural distribution and occurrence of earthquakes and volcanic activity across the globe.
