Description: Chemistry is a college preparatory course designed to introduce students to chemistry concepts. Topics covered in the course include: dimensional analysis, measurement, atomic structure, periodicity, physical and chemical properties of matter, chemical reactions, nomenclature, stoichiometry, chemical bonding, solutions, gases, and acid/base theory. This course involves considerable laboratory work and mathematical computations. STUDENTS IN THIS COURSE SHOULD EXPECT TO BE CHALLENGED AND CAN ANTICIPATE AN EXTENDED WORKLOAD. |
