Description: Honors Biology is designed for the serious science student. This accelerated course is well suited for those students who anticipate entering college and majoring in science or a science related field. This course includes an emphasis on molecular and cellular biology, with studies in genetics, energy systems , microbiology, zoology, botany, changes over time, and ecology. Laboratory investigations featuring inquiry and technology are performed on a regular basis. An independent experimental project OR biology-related mentorship is required. STUDENTS IN THIS WEIGHTED COURSE SHOULD EXPECT TO BE CHALLENGED AND CAN ANTICIPATE AN EXTENDED AND ACCELERATED WORKLOAD. |
