Description: Every business needs a person with digital publication skills. Learning the skills of publication design and layout are essential to business success in today's market. Students will learn the skills necessary to design pamphlets, signs, advertisements, and other business publications. Students will learn how to operate peripherals (scanner, digital camera, printer, and projection equipment.), and complete assignments related to digital publication. Students will be engaged in activities such as; graphic design, principles of layout and design, and digital publishing. In addition, students will be exposed to digital publishing software such as Adobe's Photoshop, Illustrator, and In-Design. This class is designed to give every student an understanding of communications and the practical skills utilized in the workplace and in post secondary education. Digital Publication will also provide students with the necessary skills needed to be successful if they are considering working with the yearbook or the Arrowhead. |
